In honor of summer nights, we highly suggest you visit one of these rooftop bars soon. A cold drink in your hand and a gorgeous skyline for your viewing pleasure – what could be better?

La Piscine at Hotel Americano | 518 West 27th Street, New York, NY 10001

This is a brand new roof top bar that just opened this past May. It is on the 10th floor and it’s all about relaxation, with day beds, cabanas and a pretty pool. They serve small dishes of Mediterranean inspired cuisine, but the bar itself has a Mexican flair. And, even though this bar is in a hotel, you don’t have to walk through the lobby. There is a dedicated glass elevator (Willy Wonka, anyone?) that takes you straight up to La Piscine.

The Standard Hotel | 550 South Flower at 6th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90071

The Standard is a classic fixture in LA, and for good reason. The panoramic views are unmatched and they clearly set the standard (no pun intended) for other rooftop lounges: a heated swimming pool, dance floor, outdoor fireplace, waterbed pods and a red AstroTurf deck. Oh, and did we mention it has it’s own Biergarten? German beer, wieners and strudel await.

ROOF on theWit | 210 N. State Street, Chicago, IL 60601

Travel + Leisure magazine named ROOF one of three top rooftop lounges in the world, so this place is no joke. They are on the 27th floor of theWit Hotel and cover 7,000 square feet of awesomeness. The patrons at ROOF are pretty classy, so make sure you wear your big boy pants. A retractable glass ceiling is the newest edition to ROOF so that even when the weather gets a little funky, take in the amazing view and party on.
