oIt just so happens, that around mid-April each year, we start to get this feeling from deep within our souls. It’s a warmth–a bright yearning for social interaction and exposure to sunlight as we begin our ascent out of hibernation. It’s springtime.

So, thus begins our spring installment of City Sips. Over the next 12 weeks, we’ll be touring the good ole U S of A via beer gardens, outdoor bars, and rooftop bars. Essentially, we’ll be giving you a killer guide to outdoor R&R with a glass of sangria in hand. So, commence that drumroll, cause we’re starting with……………….

BOSTON

When it comes to bars in the Beantown area, there’s quite the range. From towny joints taken right out of Good Will Hunting to ritzy establishments that overlook the entire city, you’ll be able to find a bar for any occasion. However, this spring, we’re looking for an outdoor venue with a casual vibe that would be comfortable for you, your boyfriend, your coworker, and anyone in between. And that place is Tia’s.

This beloved bar on Boston’s waterfront is a staple during the summertime. But, who says we can’t move this tradition up a little bit? With a quaint indoor bar and an expansive outdoor patio, this place has it all. Just steps away from tourist haven, Faneuil Hall, if you’re visiting the area, make sure you end your night here. Especially if it’s Thursday. And, even better, you might catch a glimpse of a celebrity or two. Justin Timberlake has been rumored to hang here when he’s in town, so plan accordingly folks.

As far as what to drink, they have surprisingly good cocktails, so splurge on one of the house favorites. And don’t even think twice about what to order for food. Order the lobster roll and question why you’d ever eat anything else for the rest of your life.

So, if you didn’t catch our drift, Tia’s is the place to be this spring. And if you like it enough, the summer season will only make it better. Welcome to Boston.
