Pumpkin Beer

Don’t get us wrong, we love pumpkin flavored booze, but someone needs to alert the alcohol industry that we still have one month left of summer. That’s 6 more weeks of beach, sun and day drinking. 44 days to indulge in Coronas, white wine, Mojitos and Palomas. Please don’t rush us.

The beer industry is the main culprit, with New Belgium Brewing and Southern Tier Brewing Co. both releasing their pumpkin beers back on July 12th (talk about cutting summer short). O’Fallon Brewery and Gritty McDuff’s also announced that their seasonal brews will be available this week. We’re going to have to go pumpkin picking before we can make our pumpkin kegs.

It’s not just breweries that are getting excited for pumpkin season, though. Last week, Kahlúa announced that they’re launching a new seasonal Kahlúa Pumpkin Spice (we’ll have more to come on that later).

While we love the pumpkin enthusiasm, we’re going to have to wait to pick up a six-pack until there are a few more leaves on the ground.

Do you think it’s too early for pumpkin?
