chipotle-margaritaWould you like a margarita with that? Everyone’s favorite fast food Mexican chain, Chipotle, will be serving margaritas starting Monday. Apparently the restaurant has been serving them since the beginning but now they’re reinventing their recipe and turning to fresh ingredients instead of margarita mix. Right in time for Cinco de Mayo, the classic tequila drinks will be served in 900 Chipotle restaurants throughout the country.

Yet another aged spirit joins the ranks. Beefeater announced the launch of their latest gin, Burroughs Reserve this week. The gin has been distilled in a copper still then aged in Lillet oak barrels, giving it a light brown (gross) color. The gin will roll out in Europe this spring and then make its way to the U.S.

With the warm weather coming, Daily’s Cocktails is making sure there is only one frozen cocktail pouch on the brain. Following a package redesign, the brand announced six new flavors to be added to their collection. Three new tropical flavors: Bahama Mama, Blue Hawaiian and Hurricane. And for those of you counting calories, they added Light Pink Lemonade, Light Margarita, and Light Mango Passion Fruit Daiquiri. Look for all the new flavors in stores this month.

Finally. Johnnie Walker announced they will be making their special edition Johnnie Walker Double Black a permanent resident in their lineup. The whiskey was first released in duty free shops back in 2011 and has been hard to find since. It’ll be available this month at $40 a bottle.
