There truly isn’t a bad time for tequila. But, there is a BEST time for tequila.

Today, on National Tequila Day, we raise our shot glasses in honor of our spunky, party friend that loves to bring our wild side out–tequila. Since the heavenly booze gods are on our side this year, this glorious day has fallen on a Friday. This means you have no excuse not to drink the night away with our favorite tequila based shots. We know that sometimes shots can be a little rough, so if you’re typically a mixed drink person, why not shrink a cocktail into shot form? Do it right with these recipes.

Sangrita Shooter
Ingredients:
1 ounce tomato or clamato juice
3-5 drops Tabasco sauce
Dash of Worcestershire sauce
1 Slice of jalapeño for garnish
1 shot glass of your favorite tequila

Directions:
Okay, so you’ll still need to take a shot for this one. But, the mixed shooter will compliment the tequila so perfectly, you’ll be happy you did. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and chill. When it’s that drinking time, fill one shot glass with tequila and a second shot glass with the sangrita mix. Add a jalapeño slice to the Sangrita if desired. Drink the straight tequila first and immediately chase with the shot of sangrita.

Wake the Dead
