Sweet and sour never tasted so good. This combo of cranberries and whiskey will be music to your lips any cool night this month. Or any month. Your bartender game just went from zero to a hundred real quick, so get ready for all the compliments that will be surely coming your way after you serve this up for your friends.

Cranberry & Cinnamon Whiskey Sour: (4 servings)

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • ¾ cup bourbon or whiskey
  • ½ cup lemon juice
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • ¼ cup lime juice
  • ice cubes

In a medium-sized saucepan, add cranberries, water, sugar, and cinnamon sticks. Heat over a medium until boiling. Reduce to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until cranberries have burst open and can easily be stirred into the syrup (about 10 minutes). Remove from heat and strain into a large bowl leaving large chunks behind. Chill for at least 10 minutes before using.

Add ¾ simple syrup, whiskey, lemon juice, orange juice, lime juice in an ice filled cocktail shaker and shake well for at least 30 seconds. Divide into 4 glasses and serve.
