The campaign kicked off yesterday and will run until Wednesday, April 22nd. During this week, for every new Facebook fan, Twitter follower, Instagram follower, and E-newsletter sign-up on the official Earth Week 2015 form, Woodchuck will plant one tree through American Forests AND will donate $1 to the Vermont Tree Fruit Growers Association.

Johnny Appleseed, the legendary folktale character who walked the earth in his bare feet, is commemorated today! We all know the story of the pioneer who sowed apple seeds with a tin cooking pot during his journey throughout the mid-west, but what the folktale did not explain is that Johnny intentionally sewed those seeds to produce hard cider back in the late seventeen hundreds. So cheers to a brilliant man with a plan, he has created quite “the buzz.”
