MAIN-Smirnoff-Ice-mixed-GuinessDo you ever find yourself getting bored with your go-to booze? When you’ve grown tired of that mundane drink order, we’ll be here to walk you through what’s new and noteworthy this week:

Insulated Dark Lager: Brooklyn Brewery is trying something new for this winter season. Instead of their usual Winter Ale, they are swapping it for an Insulated Dark Lager. This cold-weather brew has some smokey and chocolatey flavors that make you feel right at home. According to the brewery’s founder, it is lighter in body and richer in flavor and perfect for sipping on after walking in from negative 5-degree weather!

Multi V Vodka: If you want to have a nice, stiff drink but are watching those calories, this vodka will help you cheat without having to give up anything the next day. Released last month in Carbonale, Illinois, Multi V Vodka has zero carbohydrates and only 82 calories! It is distilled five times in the purest water from the Cascade Mountains. The co-founders, Jacek Wiltowski and Jesse Rochman, wanted to give America a vodka that doesn’t give you debilitating effects the next morning. Apparently, consumers are a little fed up with the bacon, jalapeño, and cucumber vodka flavors and just want a simple vodka that doesn’t make you feel too guilty the next day.

Guinness and Smirnoff: A bold pub in the UK has decided to combine two classic drinks that would usually not be caught dead in the same bar together: Guinness and Smirnoff Ice. The Marine Boathouse bar in Skegness has named this wild concoction a “Badger,” and people are both excited and very baffled by it. When you mix the two drinks, the dark, creamy Guinness sits on top of the cloudy Smirnoff ice. It looks pretty cool but also terrifying at the same time.

Sam Adams Rebel: This week, Boston Beer Company has released a new fruity IPA to add to the mix: Samuel Adams Rebel Grapefruit IPA. Brewed with real grapefruit and grapefruit peel, the latest addition to the Rebel line is available in cans, bottles, and on draft! So, you have no excuse to not give this tropical IPA a try.

Jack Daniel’s: The infamous Jack is giving us another member to add to the family, introducing Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Rye. Smooth and full-bodied like every sip of Jack, this Rye is 94-proof and comes with quite the packaging. The rye sits in a new and improved Jack Daniel’s glass bottle, which is protected by a sleek wooden box. It was released just last month, so give it a try and tell us how it is!
