MONKEYWINE.2

Do you ever find yourself getting bored with your go-to booze? When you’ve grown tired of that mundane drink order, we’ll be here to walk you through what’s new and noteworthy this week:

Sweet Potato Vodka: After 100 years of running a sweet potato farm in California’s San Joaquin Valley, the Souza family is making big moves into the booze world. With the release of Corbin Sweet Potato Vodka, this family business is the first to bring such a flavor to the game; from farm-to-bottle. The Vodka is 100% sweet potato-based, giving the vodka a creamy but clean feel with nutty notes and slight caramel flavors.

SelvaRey Rum: We all know that Bruno Mars is a gifted performer, but what we didn’t know was he has some skill in boozy decisions, too. The star is co-founder/co-owner of mult-award-winning SelvaRey Rum– now expanding throughout the US. The meticulously aged Panamanian rum will make its way up the East Coast and across the Pacific to Hawaii. SelvaRey comes in White, carbon-filtered and aged in American Oak casks ( 40% AMV) and Cacao, infused in natural chocolate (35% ABV).

Beach Whiskey: While our beach days might be coming to an end soon, we definitely can’t pass up a drink with a name like Beach Whiskey. Celebrating beach parities, sports, relaxing, and good fun, Beach Whiskey is carefully crafted in the United States from corn and then blended with enhancing flavors. Bonfire Cinnamon (70 proof) and Island Coconut (52 proof) flavors have the power to take you away and find “your place in the sun.” The super-premium American Whiskey is set to launch this fall initially available in Southern California and Florida, with selective rollout in markets during early 2016.

Infinite Monkey Theorem: Denver-based winery, The Infinite Monkey Theorem, has teamed up with Whole Foods market to bring its canned wine to the market nationwide. Currently, the four-pack of 250 ml cans is available in Whole Foods stores throughout California, Colorado, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Florida, Oregon, Southern California, Texas, and Washington and is expecting to spread further this year. The convenient single serve can–no corkscrew or wine glass required– is offered in white, red, rosé, or Moscato and is proudly a leader in wine trends of the future.

Gypsy Vodka: Twin brothers of Birmingham, MI, launched their vodka company, Gypsy Vodka, with great success. Produced at a distillery in Colorado and distributed out of Michigan, the vodka has hit the shelves with the mission of spreading the love of life and adventure. The twins turned their dreams into a reality and plan on using their six times distilled from American corn vodka to convince you to do the same.

Maggie’s Farm Rum: The Pittsburgh distillery celebrated its release of Queen’s Share Double Barrel Rum with a scare at their Zombie Part 2015. An awarded Best-In-Class Rum at the 2015 American Craft Spirits Association annual spirits competition, the double barrel rum is the perfect “over-proof” rum for a zombie cocktail (classically made with three different rums and other ingredients–one over-proofed). But you don’t have to be a zombie enthusiast to love this rum, the bold and rich flavor is enough to win you over.
