jack-daniels-2Do you ever find yourself getting bored with your go-to booze? When you’ve grown tired of that mundane drink order, we’ll be here to walk you through what’s new and noteworthy this week:

Jack Daniels Single Barrel Proof: Ranging from 125 to 140 proof, this premium bottle of whiskey hits shelves this August. This Single Barrel Proof is made using cave spring water, proprietary yeast and a charcoal-mellowing process recipe that has been used for around 150 years. Once this process is complete, the liquid is enclosed in a charred white American oak barrel. It’s then placed in the upper areas of the barrelhouse, exposing it to Tennessee’s extreme seasonal temperatures. These weather changes bring out the whiskey’s distinct flavor profiles, resulting in flavors of sweet vanilla and a complex toasted oak with a smooth finish.

Long Table: New Belgium released a seasonal beer that is bound to get your taste buds thirsty for more. This beer is a Belgian Saison, sunny and golden in color. It has a thick head and has tropical flavors of pineapple and banana that bring the beach to you. New Belgium uses grains like pale malt and rye that create a toasty, spicy bread with a citrusy Chinook hops.

Derby Lager: Pike Brewing Company has introduced their seasonal beer for the summer—a light lager styled brew. Pike uses a variety of malts and hops such as magnum, ahtanum and the sorachi ace hops. The use of sorachi ace hops (originating from Japan) provides drinkers of this lager with a light mouth feel. This beer will go beautifully with any summer BBQ.

Expedition Stout: Bells Brewery is commemorating their 30th anniversary this year, and in honor of the celebration, the company released an Imperial Stout. This brew contains dark fruity flavors and a roasted chocolate meld that creates a full-bodied stout. There are decent amounts of Polaris Hops used that bring brightness and character to this beer, making it very drinkable. Plan on storing this beer in your cellar? Not a problem. Its dark malt characteristics will keep developing over time, making this brew even more delicious in the years to come.

Bacardi Tangerine: To honor the brand’s 20th anniversary of flavored rum, Bacardi has announced that they are adding yet another flavored rum to their family. Bacardi Tangerine is infused with rich tangerine flavors that create a tangy and fresh taste. Bacardi has also released cocktails that will go brilliantly with this spirit. So if you’re looking to add a little zest to your boozy behavior, go for Bacardi Tangerine.
